IFTAR PROGRAM 1438H
Al Hamdulillah a total of 2,600 families out of 4,000 families in the projected list benefited from this program at a cost of USD 75,000, covering the Coast Region.
IFTAAR PACKAGE TO INSTITUTIONS
Al Hamdulillah last year we distributed the Iftaar packages to 100 learning institutions in the Coast region where Each institution got a package worth USD 233. These were to Universities, Colleges, Madrasas, Secondary and Primary schools all over the region.
IFTAAR FEEDING PROGRAM
In the 1438H Ramadhan a total of 400 people were fed daily during Iftaar. Our main food or dish being Pilau every day except for Fridays and the last 3 days of the month of Ramadhan where we offered them Biriyani.
THANK GIVING IFTAAR
On 4th June 2017 at Tawfiq Hospital we organized Iftaar to thank all our donors, Trustees, Members, Volunteers and Staff where it was graced by the attendance of Kuwait Ambassador in Kenya, H.E Qusai al Farhan, his father Dr. Rashid Farhan, his uncle and his two brothers among many other donors.
ZAKAT UL-FITR DISTRIBUTION
Last year, we distributed 7,500 packages of 5Kgs rice to the needy people of Coast Region. We projected 10,000 packages but Al Hamdulillah we managed to get 7,500 packages.
MEAT DISTRIBUTION DURING EID UL-FITR
Al Hamdulillah for the first time we distributed meat to 1,000 families during Eid ul-Fitr. This program was funded by Doctors Worldwide from Turkey and 20 goats were slaughtered. May ALLAH reward them for their good deeds.
DISTRIBUTION OF RELIEF FOOD
Al Hamdulillah during the period we distributed relief food stuffs to the most drought affected villages; Lango Baya, Baulala, Viriko, Kiembeni, Dzikundze, Makobeni and Sosoni. We also distributed foodstuffs to 350 needy families of Kakuyuni and 650 needy families of Malanga.
QURBANI (UDH-HIYA) MEAT DISTRIBUTION
The last Eidul Adha we slaughtered a total of 632 goats, 275 sheep and 15 cows. A total of USD 41,552 was spent in this project. A total of more than 5,000 families from Coast Region benefited from this program.
MASS MARRIAGE CEREMONY
On 9th December 2017 at Tahdhib Muslim Academy a unique wedding celebration of mass marriage was conducted where 20 bridegrooms and brides got married at a go. This is the first mass marriage of its kind to be held in Malindi. The celebration was attended by over 800 people including Sheikh Abdullah Mubarak, Secretary General of Sharjah Charity International, and Sheikh Muhammad Hamdan, in-charge of projects of the same organization.
TAHFIDHUL QURAN MADRASSA
Last year for the first time 18 students graduated collectively after memorizing 30 juzuu. A graduation ceremony was made and well attended by parents, volunteers and staff. Prizes were given to those who performed well.
The Madrassa was opened on 15th July 2017 for the academic year 2017/2018 (1438-1439H), with 55 students.
FREE MEDICAL AND SURGICAL CAMPS 1437H
Al Hamdulillah many patients benefitted from free surgical camps conducted at our facility in collaboration with Lions Club of Mombasa, Direct Aid of Kuwait, Caris Foundation, Sharjah Charity International and Kenya Association of Urology. These were: Plastic surgery (Lions Club of Mombasa), General surgery (Direct Aid of Kuwait), E.N.T surgery (Caris Foundation), General Medical Camp (Sharjah Charity International) and Urology surgery (Kenya Association of Urological Surgeons – KAUS).
DRILLING OF BOREHOLE
Tawfiq Muslim Youth in collaboration with individuals from Sultanate of Oman, Sharjah Charity International organization and a family in UK we drilled 10 boreholes in the most water scarce villages in and outside Malindi.
